Travel Consultant Jobs in Augusta: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a travel consultant job in Augusta?
Focus on Augusta's strongest hiring pockets: corporate travel desks tied to the healthcare and defense contracting sectors near Fort Eisenhower, and leisure agencies serving the region's steady influx of golf and resort visitors around the Augusta National corridor. Candidates with GDS platform experience, particularly Sabre or Amadeus, stand out locally. Applying directly to travel management companies and independent agencies in the Summerville and Evans areas gives you the best shot.
Which companies hire travel consultants in Augusta?
Augusta travel consultant roles are posted by Voyage Health, American Traveler, and Purple Cow Recruiting and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Augusta's hiring mix leans toward corporate travel management firms, military-community travel agencies, and boutique leisure agencies catering to the area's golf and tournament tourism industry.
Are there remote travel consultant jobs in Augusta?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role, since client-facing leisure consulting often requires in-person presence while corporate and ticketing-support roles run more readily from home. About 0% of travel consultant openings tied to Augusta are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting a broader industry shift toward flexible arrangements. Corporate travel coordination roles linked to Fort Eisenhower contractors and healthcare accounts are among the most common remote options locally.
How can I get a travel consultant job in Augusta with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Augusta is through leisure travel agencies that service the Masters Tournament season and year-round golf tourism, where agencies regularly bring on seasonal and junior consultants to handle volume. Look for front-desk or travel coordinator roles at local agencies in the Summerville and Evans areas, or reservation-support positions with military travel programs connected to Fort Eisenhower. Familiarity with any major booking platform and strong customer service experience gives candidates a concrete edge over other entry-level applicants.
