Commercial Account Manager Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a commercial account manager in Georgia?
Most commercial account manager roles in Georgia require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, combined with experience in sales or client services. For insurance-focused roles, the Georgia Department of Insurance requires candidates to pass a state licensing exam and obtain a Property and Casualty or Lines of Authority license before managing commercial accounts. Non-insurance roles typically prioritize CRM proficiency and a history of managing business client relationships.
How much do commercial account managers make in Georgia?
Commercial account managers in Georgia earn a median of about $75,280 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $36,490 for the lowest 10% to over $158,520 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire commercial account managers in Georgia?
Employers hiring commercial account managers in Georgia right now include EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants, HP, and LandCare, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's concentration of insurance carriers, logistics firms, and enterprise technology companies means consistent demand for this role across the state.
Which Georgia cities have the most commercial account manager jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Georgia have the most commercial account manager openings in Georgia. Atlanta drives the bulk of demand as the state's primary corporate hub, home to major insurance, technology, and distribution headquarters, while Savannah's growing port and logistics sector and Augusta's healthcare and financial services industry support steady hiring in those metros.
Are there remote commercial account manager jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than many sales roles, since commercial account management is desk-based and relationship-driven rather than tied to a physical site. About 67% of commercial account manager openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Client communications, renewals, and pipeline management are the functions most commonly performed remotely, while in-person meetings with key accounts are typically still expected.
How can I get hired as a commercial account manager in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as an account coordinator or inside sales representative at a Georgia-based insurance agency, logistics company, or technology firm, then moving into a junior account manager role. Large Georgia employers such as Aflac, Genuine Parts Company, and regional insurance agencies regularly hire candidates with no direct account management experience into support or associate roles. Earning a Georgia Property and Casualty license early signals commitment for insurance tracks, while a CRM certification strengthens applications across all sectors.
Where can I find and apply to commercial account manager jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to commercial account manager jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across Atlanta, Savannah, Augusta, and other Georgia markets. Search the listings, find roles that fit your experience and target industry, and apply directly to the employers posting them.
