Commercial Account Manager Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a commercial account manager in Missouri?
Most Missouri employers require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or marketing as the baseline. For insurance roles, which represent a large share of commercial account manager openings in Missouri, you must hold an active Missouri property and casualty license issued by the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance before client-facing work begins. Outside insurance, employers in logistics, technology, and distribution typically value prior B2B sales or account management experience over any specific credential.
How much do commercial account managers make in Missouri?
Commercial account managers in Missouri earn a median of about $60,440 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $32,940 for the lowest 10% to over $122,830 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire commercial account managers in Missouri?
Employers hiring commercial account managers in Missouri right now include Leavitt, Winter Dent Company, and Continental, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's mix of large insurance carriers, industrial manufacturers, and regional financial institutions means commercial account manager roles appear across a wide range of sectors statewide.
Which Missouri cities have the most commercial account manager jobs?
St. Louis, Kansas City, and Springfield account for the largest share of commercial account manager openings in Missouri. Kansas City and St. Louis drive most of the volume through their dense concentrations of insurance carriers, financial services firms, and B2B technology companies, while Springfield anchors demand in the southwest through regional insurance and distribution operations headquartered there.
Are there remote commercial account manager jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and more than many field-based roles. About 75% of commercial account manager openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves digital communication, CRM management, and virtual client meetings rather than on-site presence. The most fully remote postings tend to be in technology and software account management, where the client base is national rather than locally concentrated.
How can I get hired as a commercial account manager in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a commercial account manager role from an inside sales, customer service, or account coordinator position at a Missouri employer. Large insurance carriers based in Missouri, including those headquartered in Springfield and Kansas City, regularly hire account service representatives who transition to commercial account manager roles after one to two years. Obtaining a Missouri property and casualty license before applying, even without employer sponsorship, signals seriousness and removes a common hiring barrier for insurance-sector openings.
Where can I find and apply to commercial account manager jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to commercial account manager jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings across insurance, logistics, financial services, and technology. Find the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match.
