Service & Sales Representative Jobs in Missouri: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a service & sales representative in Missouri?
Most Missouri service & sales representative roles in insurance require a state-issued producer license through the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance, which involves completing a pre-licensing course, passing a state exam for your chosen line of authority, and submitting a background check. Roles outside insurance, such as telecommunications or financial services, typically require a high school diploma or associate degree plus on-the-job training provided by the employer. Missouri employers in these sectors commonly promote from customer service into sales roles.
Which companies hire service & sales representatives in Missouri?
Missouri service & sales representative roles are posted by CLEAR, Cintas, and Jostens and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Missouri's dense concentration of insurance carriers, regional banks, and telecom providers means openings appear across both the Kansas City and St. Louis metro areas throughout the year.
Which Missouri cities have the most service & sales representative jobs?
Kahoka, Sedalia, and Hazelwood lead Missouri for service & sales representative openings right now. Kansas City and St. Louis dominate because they are home to major corporate headquarters and regional operations for insurance, financial services, and utilities companies, while Springfield's growing healthcare and insurance sectors drive a consistent volume of openings in the southwest part of the state.
Are there remote service & sales representative jobs in Missouri?
Yes, and they are more available than in many roles. About 0% of service & sales representative openings tied to Missouri are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of this work happens over phone, video, and digital channels rather than in person. Inside sales and account renewal roles are the most commonly offered in fully remote formats, while new client acquisition roles more often require hybrid or on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a service & sales representative in Missouri with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a customer service role at a Missouri insurance carrier or telecommunications provider, then moving into sales once you have product knowledge and a proven client interaction record. Large Missouri employers like Shelter Insurance and regional credit unions regularly hire customer service associates without prior sales experience and provide paid training toward an insurance producer license. Obtaining your Missouri producer license before applying gives you a meaningful edge even without hands-on sales history.
Where can I find and apply to service & sales representative jobs in Missouri?
You can find and apply to service & sales representative jobs in Missouri on Migrate Mate, which lists current Missouri openings across insurance, telecom, financial services, and other sectors. Search the roles that fit your background and apply directly to the ones that match your experience and location preference.
