- Multi-specialty unit primarily focused on medical-surgical and telemetry care
- 24/7 acute care unit accommodating up to 36 patients
- Medical patient population includes dialysis and telemetry monitoring along with other acute medical needs
- Surgical patient population includes orthopedic procedures (fractures, shoulders, backs) and general surgery (appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, colon resection)
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, supported by a Team Leader out of staffing
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to other units and hospitals required
- Uses Meditech EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Alabama State or Compact) required, no temporary or pending licenses accepted
- AHA BLS certification required
- Associate degree in nursing required
- 2 years of RN experience required (minimum 18 months considered) with 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
- No prior license violations, past or current, allowed
