Entry Level Triage Registered Nurse Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level triage registered nurse job?
Entry level triage registered nurse employers look for an active RN license, basic clinical assessment skills, and any hands-on experience triaging patients, whether from a nursing school clinical rotation, an emergency department internship, or a practicum. Candidates who can demonstrate comfort working under time pressure and applying triage protocols like ESI or START stand out at this stage, even without years of post-graduation experience.
Which companies hire entry level triage registered nurses?
Companies hiring entry level triage registered nurses right now include Sanford Health, Atrium Health, and Duly Health and Care, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hospitals, urgent care networks, health systems, and telehealth providers are among the most active employers at this level, often recruiting new graduates directly into structured nurse residency or orientation programs.
Are there remote entry level triage registered nurse jobs?
Yes, though most triage RN roles at the entry level are on-site or hybrid rather than fully remote. About 24% of entry level triage registered nurse openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote opportunities most common in telephonic triage, nurse advice lines, and telehealth platforms that serve patients outside a physical clinic setting.
Are these new grad triage registered nurse jobs?
Yes, the listings on this page include new grad, recent graduate, and junior triage registered nurse roles. A posting is typically new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, accepts clinical rotations or internships in lieu of full-time history, or explicitly mentions a nurse residency or orientation program designed to bring newly licensed RNs up to speed in a triage environment.
Which industries hire the most entry level triage registered nurses?
Entry Level triage registered nurse roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Non-Profit & Social Services, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because patient volume, acuity mix, and staffing models in acute care, ambulatory care, and telehealth create a steady need for nurses who can assess and prioritize quickly, making them natural entry points for new graduates.
