Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and patient-care skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to share their knowledge by training, mentoring, and supporting other team members. Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care, monitoring, and treatment for veterinary patients.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and patient care.
• Train, mentor, and support veterinary technicians, assistants, and newer team members in clinical skills, hospital protocols, and best practices.
• Perform and assist with laboratory testing, radiographs, sample collection, and other diagnostic services.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, recognizing changes in condition and promptly communicating concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records and ensure proper documentation of patient care.
• Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment while following infection-control and safety protocols.
• Assist with efficient daily hospital operations.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and help ensure team members follow established procedures and standards of care.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and other team members to improve workflow, patient outcomes, and client satisfaction.
• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary nursing, patient handling, restraint, and common diagnostic procedures.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, medication administration, laboratory sample collection, and other relevant clinical skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• A compassionate approach to patient care and a professional, client-focused attitude.
• A willingness and ability to teach, train, and mentor colleagues while sharing knowledge and promoting consistent clinical standards.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Veterinary Technician certification or licensure preferred, where applicable.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary setting, handle animals safely, stand for extended periods, and assist with the physical demands of patient care. The technician must be able to remain calm under pressure and balance clinical responsibilities with team support and training.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 38.0 per week
