Job Details
Serves as the strategic and operational leader for the entire Jefferson Ambulatory Surgery Center portfolio, unifying enterprise ASC strategy and overseeing execution within each region. Responsible for oversight and board representation for 3rd party managed ASCs, and direct accountability for performance of Jefferson managed ASCs. Executes enterprise strategic plan and efficient, high quality operating model that optimizes ASC utilization and performance, and positions Jefferson to grow the ASC platform.Job Description
- Serve as subject-matter expert and key leadership facilitator for enterprise ASC strategy in collaboration with enterprise strategic planning, perioperative services service line, JMG and regional presidents, under the guidance of EVP & COO, JH President and ELT; monitors and provides internal education on national trends, continuously identifies new geographic and procedural ASC opportunities, and monitors competitor ASC strategy
- In partnership with JMG, develops ownership structure for aligned (and potentially employed) physicians and facilitates relationships with physician owners and supports compliance of ASC ownership rules
- Aligns all JV ASCs and surgical hospitals under unified leadership, sitting as voting board representative on ASC boards, aligning leadership on key decisions in advance, coordinating regional and physician representation on ASC boards, and serving as SME to evaluate 3rd party ASC management
- Develops and executes ASC operating model for Jefferson managed ASCs, including ASC-specific contracts, policies, and processes for access, staffing, supply chain, documentation, revenue cycle, and real-time analytics using ASC-specific KPIs; coordinates with periop services to deliver operating model
- Collaborates with payer contracting on ASC payer strategy to promote a financially sustainable model
- Aligns KPIs and P&L reporting across all partnerships and internal ASCs, with real-time dashboards developed by enterprise analytics
Education - Required
- Master’s Degree in nursing, business or healthcare administration (MBA/MHA) or related field
Experience - Required
- 5 years progressive leadership experience in healthcare setting
- 5 years in a perioperative setting including significant ASC experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Required
- Proven track record of managing complex operations, driving strategic initiatives, and achieving measurable results across multiple sites
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of regulatory and billing requirements for urgent care
- Exceptional communication skills, emotional intelligence and executive presence
Licenses and Certifications - Preferred
- BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire
