How do I get a vice president job in Seattle?
Vice president roles in Seattle are concentrated in technology companies anchored in South Lake Union, large health systems along First Hill, and financial services firms in the Central Business District and Bellevue. Candidates who stand out typically combine P&L ownership experience with cross-functional leadership in one of those dominant sectors. Networking within Seattle's dense tech and healthcare communities, particularly through industry associations and alumni groups at University of Washington, gives local candidates a meaningful edge.
Which companies hire vice presidents in Seattle?
Employers hiring vice presidents in Seattle right now include Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorganChase, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Seattle's hiring base is broad, ranging from global technology and e-commerce giants to regional healthcare systems, asset managers, and mid-market SaaS companies that have grown their executive teams alongside the city's expansion.
Are there remote vice president jobs in Seattle?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the function, since operational and people-management vice president roles tend to require regular on-site presence while strategy, finance, and product leadership roles are more often remote-eligible. About 26% of vice president openings tied to Seattle are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the region's tech-forward culture. Seattle's technology sector, in particular, has normalized hybrid arrangements for senior individual contributors and cross-functional leaders.
How can I get a vice president job in Seattle with little or no experience?
The most realistic path in Seattle is moving laterally into a director-level role at a growth-stage technology or healthcare company, where promotion timelines to vice president are compressed compared to large enterprises. Seattle's startup ecosystem in South Lake Union and the Eastside regularly promotes directors who demonstrate revenue or product impact quickly. Building visibility through Seattle-area executive roundtables, contributing to local industry panels, and targeting companies in rapid scaling phases improves your chances significantly.
