Position Summary

The Vice President of Operations will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and quality across the company's portfolio. This individual will play a key role in shaping operations, developing internal processes, mentoring teams, driving business development efforts, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction executive with a strong operational background and established industry relationships that can help expand the company's client base and market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across multiple commercial construction projects.
• Oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and field staff to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure adherence to schedule, budget, safety, and quality standards.
• Work closely with executive leadership to develop and execute company growth strategies.
• Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including new clients, markets, and project opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, owners, architects, brokers, consultants, and industry partners.
• Support proposal development, client presentations, interviews, and contract negotiations.
• Evaluate and improve operational systems, workflows, and performance metrics.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing operational teams.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of contracts, scopes, risk management, and construction best practices.
• Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and business development meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 10 years in operational leadership.
• General contracting experience is required.
• Proven ability to manage multiple high-value ground-up and tenant improvement projects.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client relationship management, and revenue growth.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and team-building skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive operational excellence and company growth.
• Experience with project management software and construction technology tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
