Job Description Summary

Customer centricity is at the core of our success, and our Customer Supply Chain team plays a key role in delivering consistent, reliable service to our North American National Account, Foodservice, and Retail customers. This team supports day-to-day order fulfillment through strong coordination, accuracy, and responsiveness across the supply chain.

The Customer Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of customer orders from entry through delivery, ensuring a smooth and efficient customer experience. This role partners closely with customers, sales, transportation, warehouse, and other supply chain teams to process orders, manage changes, monitor inventory availability, and support shipment execution. The position maintains visibility to order status, inventory, and logistics activities to identify and address issues as they arise and support service performance.
This role primarily focuses on execution and coordination of established processes, working within defined systems, tools, and guidelines to ensure consistent order management and fulfillment. While the role contributes to issue resolution and process improvement, it operates within a defined scope of responsibility and escalates complex issues, supply risks, and cross functional constraints as needed.

Through collaboration, attention to detail, and operational execution, the Customer Supply Chain Specialist supports order accuracy, on time delivery, and overall customer satisfaction while building foundational supply chain capabilities.

Job Description

• Maintain new customer setup in Evolve, shipping master data in SAP including routes, CMIR, and pallet configurations to support accurate warehouse picking and transportation planning
• Maintain customer master data and how it impacts system integrations and EDI processes, enabling accurate order processing and execution
• Manage customer portals and digital order channels, including order intake, order confirmation, and coordination of portal-based activities impacting customer fulfillment
• Manage order email inbox; process customer orders and changes accurately and timely in SAP
• Review purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, resolving any discrepancies, missing information, or processing blocks
• Act as primary contact for customers and sales, ensuring clear and timely communication
• Manage assigned accounts and support ongoing customer and operational needs
• Support the execution of customer orders by validating inventory availability, identifying potential service risks, and partnering with Supply Chain teams to meet fill rate and customer service targets for ongoing business, promotions, and new item launches
• Adjust and prioritize orders based on production schedules, inventory availability, and logistics constraints
• Work within established supply chain processes to coordinate customer order execution across Planning, Deployment, Warehousing, Transportation, and Sales teams, escalating issues and risks as needed
• Partner with warehouse teams to execute special handling requirements such as FIFO, FEFO, shelf life, and labeling
• Coordinate customer specific instructions including export documentation, inspections, claims support, and regulatory compliance with appropriate teams
• Plan and adjust transportation activities including freight order monitoring, delivery creation, port bookings, and customer carrier appointment coordination
• Optimize shipments by consolidating orders, managing freight requirements, and aligning with transportation strategies
• Monitor shipping activities, across domestic and international shipping conditions
• Identify and work cross-functionally to resolve order exceptions including inventory gaps, weight discrepancies, and shipment constraints
• Maintain order documentation to support audits, claims, and regulatory compliance
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping and trade requirements
• Identify, escalate, and resolve recurring issues across order management, fulfillment, and logistics processes

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

• Education/ Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or supply chain preferred
• Skills and Experience:
  • 2 years related experience in Customer Service, Supply Chain, and or Export/Import required
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems; experience using SAP for order entry and inventory validation, Excel for reporting and analysis, and other Microsoft tools to support productivity is preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, essential for managing complex order workflows, ensuring data accuracy, and maintaining high service standards
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and take initiative in resolving customer or order-related issues
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively across supply chain functions to support customer and operational goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and internal departments

Pay Rate or Range: $49,670.00 - $74,490.00
