Which companies sponsor visas for audiologists in Arizona?
Banner Health, Valleywise Health, Dignity Health, and the University of Arizona Health Sciences are among Arizona employers with documented histories of sponsoring work visas for clinical roles including audiology. Large hospital systems and university medical centers are the most active sponsors because they have established HR and legal infrastructure to manage the H-1B petition process. Private audiology practices occasionally sponsor but less consistently.
Which visa types are most common for audiologist roles in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for audiologists in Arizona, as the role meets the specialty occupation definition requiring a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. Some internationally trained audiologists also enter on TN visas if they are Canadian or Mexican citizens, provided the role aligns with qualifying TN professional categories. Employers file the Labor Condition Application with DOL before submitting the H-1B petition to USCIS.
Which cities in Arizona have the most audiologist sponsorship jobs?
Phoenix and its surrounding suburbs, including Scottsdale, Mesa, and Chandler, account for the largest share of audiologist openings in Arizona given the concentration of major hospital networks and specialty clinics there. Tucson is the second-largest market, anchored by University of Arizona Health and Banner University Medical Center. Flagstaff and Yuma have smaller but active healthcare sectors with occasional audiology openings.
How to find audiologist visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters audiologist job listings in Arizona specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can focus on employers who have already indicated willingness to sponsor rather than applying broadly. Search for audiologist roles in Arizona on Migrate Mate and filter by H-1B or TN sponsorship. This saves significant time compared to screening general job boards where sponsorship details are rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there state-specific considerations for audiologists seeking sponsorship in Arizona?
Arizona requires audiologists to hold a state license issued by the Arizona Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, and employers typically expect licensure or eligibility before extending a visa-sponsored offer. The Au.D. from a CAA-accredited program is the standard credential. Prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B apply based on the specific county and job zone; the DOL's OFLC Wage Search tool provides current wage level data for Maricopa and Pima counties.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored audiologist jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
