Which companies sponsor visas for audiologists in Washington?
Washington's largest audiology employers with documented sponsorship history include UW Medicine, Seattle Children's Hospital, Providence Health and Services, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, and the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. Hearing care chains such as Hearing Life and Pacific Audiology Clinic also post sponsored positions periodically. Hospital-affiliated practices tend to have dedicated HR teams experienced with H-1B and permanent resident filings for clinical roles.
Which visa types are most common for audiologist roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most frequently used visa for audiologists in Washington, as the Au.D. degree satisfies the specialty occupation requirement. Employers occasionally pursue TN status for Canadian audiologists under USMCA. For longer-term placements, sponsors may initiate PERM-based EB-2 or EB-3 green card filings. USCIS classifies audiology as a specialty occupation, which supports H-1B petitions when the role requires a specialized graduate degree.
How to find audiologist visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate filters audiologist job listings in Washington specifically for roles where employers have indicated sponsorship willingness, saving you from applying to positions that won't support a visa. You can narrow results by city, employer type, and visa category. Because Washington audiology hiring is concentrated in Seattle-area health systems, setting location filters to King County and surrounding counties surfaces the most active sponsorship opportunities.
Which cities in Washington have the most audiologist sponsorship jobs?
Seattle and the broader King County area account for the majority of sponsored audiologist openings in Washington, driven by its concentration of academic medical centers and large hospital networks. Spokane is the secondary market, with Providence and MultiCare Health System posting positions in eastern Washington. Tacoma and Bellevue see periodic openings, typically tied to regional hospital expansion or VA outpatient clinic staffing needs.
Are there state-specific considerations for audiologist sponsorship in Washington?
Washington requires audiologists to hold an active state license issued by the Department of Health before practicing, and most employers require licensure to be in place or imminent before finalizing a sponsored hire. The University of Washington's Doctor of Audiology program creates a local graduate pipeline, which means sponsored roles tend to target candidates with subspecialty training or several years of clinical experience. Prevailing wage levels for audiology in Washington can be verified using the OFLC Wage Search tool before evaluating any offer.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored audiologist jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
