Which companies sponsor visas for audiologists in Massachusetts?
Major hospital systems are the most active sponsors for audiologists in Massachusetts. Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, and UMass Memorial Health have histories of sponsoring clinical and research audiology roles. Larger ENT practice groups and academic medical centers affiliated with Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University also sponsor qualified candidates, particularly for specialty or pediatric audiology positions.
Which visa types are most common for audiologist roles in Massachusetts?
Audiology qualifies as a specialty occupation under H-1B criteria because it requires at minimum a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. H-1B is the most common temporary work visa for audiologists in Massachusetts. Employers sponsoring long-term hires often also pursue PERM labor certification as a pathway to an employment-based green card, particularly EB-2 or EB-3 categories, depending on the role's requirements and the candidate's qualifications.
How to find audiologist visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate filters audiologist jobs specifically by visa sponsorship history, so you can identify Massachusetts employers who have sponsored similar clinical roles before. Search for audiologist positions in Boston, Worcester, and Springfield on Migrate Mate and review each employer's sponsorship track record. Focusing on hospital systems and academic medical centers in your search will surface the employers most likely to support an H-1B or green card process.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most audiologist sponsorship jobs?
Boston is by far the strongest market for audiologist sponsorship in Massachusetts, given its concentration of academic medical centers and teaching hospitals. Worcester is the second-largest hub, anchored by UMass Memorial Health and Saint Vincent Hospital. Springfield sees demand through Baystate Health. Smaller opportunities exist in Lowell and Cambridge, often tied to hospital network affiliates or university-based hearing clinics.
Are there state-specific considerations for audiologists seeking visa sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts requires audiologists to hold an active state license, and international candidates must verify that their Au.D. or equivalent foreign credential meets the Board of Registration in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology standards before an employer can complete visa paperwork. Employers filing an H-1B must also submit a Labor Condition Application certifying the offered wage meets the prevailing wage for audiologists in the specific Massachusetts metropolitan area, which you can verify using the OFLC Wage Search tool.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored audiologist jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
