Which companies sponsor visas for audiologists in Pennsylvania?
Large health systems are the primary sponsors for audiologist roles in Pennsylvania. UPMC, Penn Medicine, Jefferson Health, and Geisinger Health System have histories of sponsoring specialty occupation visas. Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Temple Health also hire audiologists. University-affiliated audiology clinics at Penn State and Drexel University are additional sources of sponsorship for internationally trained candidates.
Which visa types are most common for audiologist roles in Pennsylvania?
The H-1B is the most common visa for audiologist positions in Pennsylvania, as the role meets the specialty occupation standard requiring a master's degree in audiology. Canadian audiologists may qualify for TN status under the USMCA professional category. Some positions at research institutions or teaching hospitals may support O-1 visas for candidates with exceptional credentials or published research.
Which cities in Pennsylvania have the most audiologist sponsorship jobs?
Philadelphia leads Pennsylvania for audiologist sponsorship activity, driven by its concentration of academic medical centers and specialty hospitals. Pittsburgh is the second-largest market, anchored by UPMC and its network of affiliated clinics. Hershey, home to Penn State Health, and Danville, where Geisinger is headquartered, are notable secondary markets where sponsorship opportunities arise in hospital and outpatient audiology settings.
How to find audiologist visa sponsorship jobs in Pennsylvania?
Migrate Mate filters audiologist jobs in Pennsylvania specifically by visa sponsorship history, so you're only seeing employers who have filed for sponsored roles before. Search for audiologist positions and narrow results to Pennsylvania to surface relevant openings at health systems, hospitals, and university clinics. This saves time compared to reviewing general job postings where sponsorship availability is unclear or unlisted.
Are there state-specific considerations for audiologists seeking visa sponsorship in Pennsylvania?
Pennsylvania requires audiologists to hold a state license from the State Board of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. International candidates should confirm their credentials and clinical hours meet Pennsylvania licensure standards before or alongside visa sponsorship. Employers filing an H-1B for an audiologist must certify a prevailing wage through the DOL; candidates can reference the OFLC Wage Search to understand how wages are benchmarked for audiology roles across Pennsylvania's metro areas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored audiologist jobs in Pennsylvania?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
