Which companies sponsor visas for audiologists in California?
Major health systems with documented H-1B sponsorship history for audiologists in California include Kaiser Permanente, Dignity Health, Stanford Health Care, and the UC health system campuses. Large ENT and audiology group practices in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego have also filed LCAs for audiologist roles. Academic medical centers and VA hospital affiliates are additional consistent sponsors, particularly for clinical audiologists with specialized training.
Which visa types are most common for audiologist roles in California?
H-1B is the primary visa for internationally trained audiologists in California, as the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree. Some employers pursue permanent residency sponsorship through PERM labor certification for long-term hires. TN visa status is available for Canadian and Mexican audiologists under USMCA. J-1 visas occasionally apply for clinical training placements at academic medical centers.
Which cities in California have the most audiologist sponsorship jobs?
Los Angeles and the surrounding metro account for the highest concentration of audiologist sponsorship openings in California, driven by its large hospital network and multilingual patient population. The San Francisco Bay Area is a secondary hub, with academic medical centers at UCSF and Stanford filing LCAs regularly. San Diego benefits from both VA health system demand and a strong network of ENT group practices seeking sponsored audiologists.
How to find audiologist visa sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters audiologist jobs in California specifically to roles where employers have active visa sponsorship history, so you can focus on positions that are realistic for international candidates rather than sorting through listings that exclude sponsored applicants. Search by city or health system to see which California employers are actively hiring audiologists with H-1B or permanent residency sponsorship support.
Are there state-specific considerations for audiologists seeking sponsorship in California?
California requires audiologists to hold a state license issued by the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board. Employers filing H-1B petitions must meet DOL prevailing wage requirements for the specific county where the audiologist will practice, which you can verify using the OFLC Wage Search tool. California's large federally qualified health center network and university-affiliated clinics often have established immigration counsel and existing LCA infrastructure, making them practical targets for sponsored applicants.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored audiologist jobs in California?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
