The impact you’ll make

As an Account Manager at Lam, you are essential to fostering lasting relationships with our valued customers. Engaging directly with customers, you'll proactively address their needs, arrange strategic meetings, and support them with a range of Lam’s wafer fabrication equipment products and services. Your dynamic approach ensures the success of our partnerships and contributes to Lam's position as an industry leader.

What you’ll do

• Ensure customer trust through consistently delivering on commitments.
• Drive customer success by enabling PG and Sales strategies that meet revenue, GM%, MS, and other objectives.
• Support new technology product selections and business opportunities, together with Account Director, Account Technologist/Field Process Engineer, Product Group and Process Engineering.
• Identify business opportunities, by understanding Lam process/technology capabilities and customer requirements.
• Together with Account Director, analyze new product and upgrade opportunities, prepare strategies, and negotiate deals with customer commercial and technical team(s).
• Define package(s) based on performance data, customer priorities, that best fit Lam product offerings.
• Define and gain Beta/Evaluation systems and hardware agreements, together with Product Group.
• Ensure Beta test success criteria and test plan agreement, support alignment, acceptance and closure.
• Meet forecast accuracy per annual goals/targets (revenue and target pricing).
• Align forecast for owned product(s) within Lam SAP/CRM systems, adjusting for changes in plans and/or revenue.
• Regular forecast reviews with Sales & Bus. Ops, align on short shipment/BKO’s with customer & install team.
• Accountable for quote accuracy, pricing, T&C’s.

Who we’re looking for

• BS / BA in Technical Discipline.
• MBA Preferred.
• 5+ years in Account Management, Sales or Sales support activities in Semiconductor Capital Equipment.
• Account management experience with key/global customer.
• Project management experience preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• Sales and customer relationship management skills.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data (Lam and customer data sources).
• Understanding of basic statistics, mathematics, wafer fab equipment, semiconductor process technologies.
• Wafer fab equipment product and competitive knowledge.
• Self-directed.
• Ownership.
• Develops longstanding customer and internal-team relationships.
• Fosterer of collaborative engagements.
• Works well within matrix organization.
• High tolerance for stress, able to deliver difficult news, can manage a challenging customer and/or situation, positively moves module team and/or customer relationships forward.
• Able to lead groups with disparate interests or conflicting objectives, to solve complex product, technology, operational, organizational problems, internal and/or with customer team(s).
• High quality work standards that always meet customer’s expectations, not just the customer’s requirements.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
