Which companies sponsor visas for product engineers in Arizona?
Intel's Chandler campus is one of Arizona's most consistent H-1B sponsors for product engineers, particularly those focused on semiconductor and hardware development. Microchip Technology in Chandler, GoDaddy in Tempe, and Axon in Scottsdale also appear regularly in federal labor condition application filings for product engineer roles. Defense contractors such as Raytheon and Boeing, both with significant Arizona operations, sponsor product engineers in more specialized hardware and systems roles.
Which visa types are most common for product engineers in Arizona?
The H-1B is the most common visa for product engineers in Arizona, as the role generally qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Employers with Canadian or Mexican nationals sometimes use TN visas under the engineer category. Some senior product engineers with exceptional credentials pursue O-1A classification. Candidates already authorized to work in the U.S. on OPT or STEM OPT extension may also be considered while pursuing long-term sponsorship.
How to find product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Arizona?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have a documented history of visa sponsorship, which is useful when searching for product engineer positions across Arizona's Phoenix metro, Tucson, and Chandler corridors. Rather than sorting through thousands of unfiltered postings, Migrate Mate surfaces roles at companies actively sponsoring work visas for product engineers, saving significant time during a job search.
Which cities in Arizona have the most product engineer sponsorship jobs?
The Phoenix metropolitan area accounts for the large majority of product engineer sponsorship activity in Arizona. Chandler stands out due to Intel's large fabrication and engineering presence. Tempe has a concentration of software and consumer technology companies, and Scottsdale hosts a growing number of SaaS and fintech employers. Tucson has a smaller but active engineering market, with defense and optics companies such as Raytheon and II-VI Incorporated contributing to sponsorship activity there.
Are there state-specific factors product engineers should know about Arizona sponsorship jobs?
Arizona State University and the University of Arizona produce a steady pipeline of engineering graduates, which means product engineers entering the local market often compete alongside recent domestic graduates. Employers filing Labor Condition Applications are required to pay the prevailing wage for the role and location, so product engineer positions in the Chandler semiconductor corridor may carry different prevailing wage requirements than equivalent roles in Scottsdale's software sector. Arizona's growing semiconductor investment, partly tied to federal CHIPS Act activity, has expanded the number of employers actively hiring and sponsoring in the state.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineer jobs in Arizona?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
