Which companies sponsor visas for product engineers in New Hampshire?
BAE Systems, Benchmark Electronics, and Amphenol are among the larger employers in New Hampshire with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for engineering roles. Defense contractors and advanced manufacturing firms in the Manchester-Nashua corridor tend to sponsor more consistently than smaller companies, given their federal contracting relationships and established HR infrastructure for international hiring.
Which visa types are most common for product engineer roles in New Hampshire?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for product engineers in New Hampshire, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. Candidates from Canada or Mexico may also pursue TN visa status under the USMCA, and those with extraordinary ability may consider the O-1A, though that category has a significantly higher evidentiary bar.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most product engineer sponsorship jobs?
Manchester and Nashua account for the largest share of product engineer sponsorship activity in New Hampshire. Nashua in particular hosts a cluster of electronics and defense manufacturers along the Massachusetts border. Portsmouth sees some activity driven by naval and maritime industries, while Concord, as the state capital, has smaller but steady engineering demand across government-adjacent contractors.
How to find product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate filters product engineer roles specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can browse New Hampshire opportunities without sifting through listings where sponsorship isn't offered. The platform is built for international candidates, which means job listings are already screened for employer willingness to sponsor. Searching by state and role on Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find current openings in New Hampshire.
Are there any state-specific considerations for product engineers seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire has no state income tax, which affects prevailing wage comparisons employers must document for H-1B Labor Condition Applications. The Department of Labor requires employers to pay at least the prevailing wage for the specific role and location, and New Hampshire wage benchmarks reflect regional market rates rather than Boston-level figures. The state's defense and advanced manufacturing sectors also mean some roles carry security clearance requirements, which can complicate sponsorship for non-citizens.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineer jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
