Which companies sponsor visas for engineering program managers in Arkansas?
Walmart and its technology division have been among the most active H-1B sponsors in Arkansas for engineering and program management roles, particularly at their Bentonville headquarters. Dillard's, Windstream, and defense-adjacent contractors near Little Rock have also filed sponsorships for similar positions. Supplier companies within the Walmart vendor ecosystem in Northwest Arkansas represent another hiring segment worth targeting.
Which visa types are most common for engineering program manager roles in Arkansas?
The H-1B is the most common visa for engineering program managers in Arkansas, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3 visa, and Canadian and Mexican nationals may be eligible under the TN visa category, which covers engineers under its occupational list.
Which cities in Arkansas have the most engineering program manager sponsorship jobs?
Bentonville and Fayetteville in Northwest Arkansas account for the largest concentration of engineering program manager roles with sponsorship potential, driven primarily by Walmart's technology and supply chain operations and the broader startup and tech ecosystem that has developed around them. Little Rock, as the state capital and home to several defense and infrastructure contractors, is the second significant market for this role.
How to find engineering program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Arkansas?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have demonstrated H-1B or other visa sponsorship activity, making it a focused resource for engineering program manager candidates targeting Arkansas. You can search by role and state to surface openings in Bentonville, Fayetteville, and Little Rock. Prioritizing larger employers with established HR and legal infrastructure, such as those in retail tech, defense, or manufacturing, improves your chances of finding active sponsorship.
Are there any state-specific considerations for engineering program managers seeking sponsorship in Arkansas?
Arkansas's engineering program manager market is heavily shaped by the retail technology sector centered in Northwest Arkansas, meaning many roles emphasize supply chain systems, logistics platforms, and vendor operations rather than pure software or hardware engineering. The University of Arkansas in Fayetteville produces engineering graduates and has industry partnerships with local employers, which can influence hiring pipelines. Prevailing wage compliance requirements apply statewide under H-1B rules regardless of employer size.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering program manager jobs in Arkansas?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
