Which companies sponsor visas for engineering program managers in Colorado?
Several large employers in Colorado have consistent track records of sponsoring H-1B visas for engineering program managers. These include Lockheed Martin and Raytheon in the aerospace and defense sector, as well as technology companies with significant Colorado offices such as Google, Oracle, and Palantir. Defense contractors in Colorado Springs and aerospace firms along the Front Range are particularly active sponsors for this role.
Which visa types are most common for engineering program managers in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common visa for engineering program managers in Colorado, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Candidates with Canadian or Mexican citizenship may qualify under the TN visa category. Australians may be eligible for the E-3 visa, which has no lottery and is generally faster to obtain.
How to find engineering program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find engineering program manager roles in Colorado where employers are actively open to visa sponsorship. The platform filters jobs specifically for international candidates, so you avoid spending time on listings from companies that do not sponsor. Searching by the engineering program manager role and filtering to Colorado surfaces relevant openings across Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs.
Which cities in Colorado have the most engineering program manager sponsorship jobs?
Denver has the highest concentration of engineering program manager openings in Colorado, driven by its expanding tech and cloud infrastructure sector. Boulder follows closely, with strong demand from aerospace, software, and research-adjacent companies. Colorado Springs is a significant hub for defense and government contracting roles, where program management experience aligned with military or federal programs is particularly valued by sponsoring employers.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for engineering program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Colorado's prevailing wage requirements under the H-1B Labor Condition Application process reflect the state's competitive tech market, particularly in the Denver-Boulder metro area, which is classified under its own wage jurisdiction by the Department of Labor. Additionally, many Colorado engineering program manager roles at defense contractors require security clearances, which can complicate or slow sponsorship timelines for international candidates who are not yet eligible for clearance.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering program manager jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
