Which companies in Indiana sponsor visas for engineering program managers?
Eli Lilly, Cummins, Salesforce, Rolls-Royce (Indianapolis), and Zimmer Biomet are among the Indiana employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for engineering and program management roles. Large manufacturers in the Fort Wayne and Elkhart regions, along with Indianapolis-based tech and life sciences firms, file the most Labor Condition Applications for engineering program manager positions in the state.
What visa types are most commonly used for engineering program manager roles in Indiana?
The H-1B is the most common visa for engineering program managers in Indiana, as the role typically qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field. L-1A and L-1B transfers are also used when candidates are relocating within a multinational company. TN status applies for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying engineering classifications.
How to find engineering program manager visa sponsorship jobs in Indiana?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, so you can search engineering program manager roles in Indiana without sorting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers with active sponsorship histories in the state, which is particularly useful for targeting Indianapolis and Fort Wayne, where most Indiana engineering program manager openings are concentrated.
Which cities in Indiana have the most engineering program manager sponsorship jobs?
Indianapolis accounts for the largest share of engineering program manager sponsorship activity in Indiana, driven by its life sciences, tech, and corporate headquarters presence. Fort Wayne follows due to its concentration of defense contractors and manufacturers. The Elkhart area, known as the RV and manufacturing capital, also generates engineering program manager demand, particularly at suppliers and production operations firms.
Are there any state-specific considerations for engineering program managers seeking sponsorship in Indiana?
Indiana's engineering program manager market is heavily tied to manufacturing, life sciences, and defense industries rather than pure software, which affects how roles are scoped and how specialty occupation requirements are documented for H-1B purposes. Purdue University and Indiana University produce a steady pipeline of technical talent, meaning employers are familiar with sponsorship processes. Prevailing wage determinations for these roles are set at the metropolitan level, so Indianapolis and Fort Wayne positions may have different wage requirements.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering program manager jobs in Indiana?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
