Boeing sponsors engineering program managers in the aerospace division near Everett and Renton. Google, Meta, and Salesforce also maintain Washington engineering offices with documented sponsorship histories for this role category.
Which visa types are most common for engineering program manager roles in Washington?
The H-1B is the most common visa for engineering program managers in Washington, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, satisfying the specialty occupation standard. Australians may pursue the E-3 visa as a direct alternative. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds sometimes transfer on an L-1A or L-1B depending on their specific responsibilities.
Which cities in Washington have the most engineering program manager sponsorship jobs?

You can narrow results by location to focus on Seattle, Bellevue, or Redmond. Because engineering program manager is a senior technical role, filtering for H-1B-sponsoring employers in the tech and aerospace sectors on Migrate Mate saves significant research time.
Are there any Washington-specific considerations for engineering program managers seeking visa sponsorship?
Washington's concentration of large tech employers means many companies already have established immigration counsel and LCA filing processes in place, which generally makes sponsorship more procedurally straightforward than at smaller firms. The Department of Labor prevailing wage for engineering program manager roles in the Seattle metropolitan area is among the highest in the country, reflecting the region's market rates. University of Washington graduates in engineering disciplines form a notable pipeline into local sponsored roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored engineering program manager jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
