SUMMARY
Partner is seeking an experienced Senior IT System Administrator to support, secure, and improve its Microsoft-centered technology environment. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Teams, networking, security, and server infrastructure. Experience with SharePoint and Power Platform is a plus. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can troubleshoot complex issues, recommend practical solutions, strengthen governance, and help ensure the reliability, performance, and security of both cloud and on-premises systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer, maintain, and support cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including servers, network devices, storage, firewalls, switches, routers, and related systems.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform, Entra ID, licensing, security, compliance, and collaboration tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, communication, and end-user technology issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze existing IT systems and processes to identify opportunities for improvement, automation, governance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades, system enhancements, patches, configuration changes, and security improvements.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security to identify and address potential issues before they become critical.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning to help ensure systems can recover from disruptions or outages.
- Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure, assets, configurations, change control processes, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with IT leadership, network administrators, cybersecurity resources, software developers, database administrators, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable technology services.
- Provide clear training, guidance, and support to end users to help them use technology systems and applications effectively.
- Stay current with emerging infrastructure, security, collaboration, and Microsoft 365 technologies, and recommend solutions that improve productivity and service quality.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of recent systems administration experience, preferably in a multi-office or geographically dispersed environment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing Microsoft environments and Microsoft 365 products and services.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Microsoft 365, SMB, TCP/IP, DNS, DFS, and core networking protocols.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint Online, Entra ID, licensing, security, compliance, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 licensing, and security and compliance capabilities.
- Experience with firewalls, routers, switches, SSL, TCP, VPN, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and network security frameworks.
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and Microsoft security technologies.
- Experience with storage arrays, backup solutions, off-site replication strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with VMware or Hyper-V server virtualization.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with peers, clients, end users, and management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Veeam, Meraki, VMware, SharePoint Online architecture and administration, Microsoft Teams administration, Power Platform, Microsoft Copilot, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365 with third-party enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting, automation, and process improvement.
- Microsoft certifications are preferred, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals.
- Flexibility to support urgent issues outside normal business hours when necessary; after-hours and weekend work are expected to be rare.
COMPENSATION
- Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note, the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to individual and organizational performance.
