Position Summary
The role of IT Administrator directly supports Nordex's mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality for the world. As an IT Administrator, you will provide first-line help desk and onsite IT support for Nordex North America, with primary responsibility for supporting the Chicago office. This role combines hands-on technical support, infrastructure administration, user support, system security, and project participation while ensuring employees have reliable technology solutions to support business operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide first-line technical support by responding to help desk requests, troubleshooting issues, resolving tickets, and escalating complex issues when required.
- Deliver onsite IT support for the Chicago office, including conference room technology and office infrastructure support.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, peripherals, and related technology systems.
- Manage user accounts and system access in alignment with company security policies and user lifecycle processes.
- Monitor system performance, investigate alerts, and escalate security or operational concerns as appropriate.
- Support network resources and ensure the availability of critical technology services.
- Train employees on hardware, software, and technology best practices.
- Partner with vendors to resolve technical issues and implement solutions.
- Participate in IT projects and technology improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset inventories, and support procedures.
- Deliver responsive, customer-focused support while meeting service expectations and maintaining strong communication with end users.
WHAT YOU HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- Experience providing Level I and Level II help desk support in a business environment.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and familiarity with Azure services.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and IT security principles.
- Experience implementing IT projects and supporting business technology initiatives.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience working with project management tools and methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25% throughout the United States and Canada.

The pay for this role is exempt at $65k-70k USD salary with up to a 5% bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
