Which companies sponsor visas for manufacturing technicians in Colorado?
Lockheed Martin and Ball Aerospace in the Denver and Boulder areas have filed Labor Condition Applications for manufacturing and production technician roles. Keysight Technologies in Colorado Springs and medical device manufacturers concentrated along the Front Range also appear in Department of Labor disclosure data for work visa sponsorship. Sponsorship decisions are employer-specific and vary by role, facility, and hiring cycle.
Which visa types are most common for manufacturing technician roles in Colorado?
The H-1B is the most common work visa for manufacturing technicians in Colorado when the role qualifies as a specialty occupation, typically requiring a bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, or a closely related field. Some roles in aerospace and defense also see TN visa usage for Canadian and Mexican nationals under USMCA. O-1 visas occasionally apply for technicians with exceptional documented achievements in their field.
Which cities in Colorado have the most manufacturing technician sponsorship jobs?
The Denver metro area, including Aurora and Englewood, concentrates the largest share of manufacturing technician sponsorship activity, driven by aerospace and defense contractors. Colorado Springs is a secondary hub with significant defense manufacturing presence. Boulder and Longmont also generate openings through semiconductor and clean-energy manufacturing, particularly from companies in the broader Denver-Boulder technology corridor.
How to find manufacturing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search for manufacturing technician positions across Colorado without sorting through roles that don't sponsor. You can filter by state and job category to surface relevant openings in aerospace, medical devices, and electronics manufacturing concentrated along the Front Range.
Are there state-specific considerations for manufacturing technicians seeking visa sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's prevailing wage requirements under Department of Labor rules apply to H-1B petitions, so employers must certify that the offered compensation meets the prevailing wage for the specific occupation and geographic area. Colorado's concentration of aerospace and defense employers also means many roles involve security clearance requirements, which can complicate or limit sponsorship for foreign nationals depending on the clearance level and citizenship requirements involved.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manufacturing technician jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
