Which companies sponsor visas for nursing technicians in Colorado?
The largest sponsors of nursing technician roles in Colorado tend to be major health systems with high patient volumes. UCHealth, SCL Health (now Intermountain Health), Children's Hospital Colorado, and Centura Health have all filed employer sponsorship petitions for clinical support roles in recent years. Large academic medical centers and hospital networks are generally more likely to sponsor than smaller independent clinics or outpatient practices.
Which visa types are most common for nursing technician roles in Colorado?
H-1B visa is the most common visa category used for nursing technician roles where the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical or health sciences field. Some employers also use the EB-3 immigrant visa pathway for nursing support roles classified under skilled worker categories. Eligibility depends on how the employer defines the position's educational requirements, so each sponsorship situation differs.
Which cities in Colorado have the most nursing technician sponsorship jobs?
Denver and its immediate suburbs, including Aurora and Lakewood, account for the largest share of nursing technician openings due to the concentration of hospital campuses there. Colorado Springs is the second-largest market, supported by facilities like UCHealth Memorial Hospital. Fort Collins and Boulder also see activity, largely tied to regional health systems and proximity to university medical programs.
How to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it easier to identify Colorado employers actively hiring nursing technicians and willing to support work authorization. Rather than sorting through general job boards, you can browse nursing technician roles in Colorado on Migrate Mate and see which positions are tagged as sponsorship-eligible, saving significant time in your search.
Are there any Colorado-specific considerations for nursing technicians seeking visa sponsorship?
Colorado requires nursing technicians working in certain clinical settings to meet state certification standards, so international candidates should verify their credentials align with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies requirements before applying. The state's nursing education pipeline through institutions like the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus also means competition for roles in the Denver metro can be higher than in rural or mountain communities, where health systems may have stronger sponsorship incentives.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing technician jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
