Which companies sponsor visas for nursing technicians in Washington?
The largest sponsors of nursing technician roles in Washington are major health systems including UW Medicine, Providence Health and Services, MultiCare Health System, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, and Seattle Children's Hospital. These organizations have established immigration programs and regularly file H-1B visa or employment-based sponsorship petitions for clinical support roles. Smaller regional hospitals and long-term care networks in Washington also sponsor, though less frequently.
Which visa types are most common for nursing technician roles in Washington?
Nursing technicians in Washington are most commonly sponsored through the H-1B visa, which requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation tied to a specific bachelor's degree or higher. Some positions are also filled through the EB-3 employment-based green card category, which covers skilled workers and is frequently used in healthcare. Candidates already in the U.S. on OPT or other work-authorized status may also be considered before a full sponsorship petition is filed.
Which cities in Washington have the most nursing technician sponsorship jobs?
Seattle has the highest concentration of nursing technician sponsorship jobs in Washington, driven by UW Medical Center, Seattle Children's, and Virginia Mason. Tacoma and the surrounding Pierce County area see strong demand through MultiCare and CHI Franciscan. Spokane is the dominant hub for Eastern Washington, anchored by Providence and MultiCare Deaconess Hospital. Smaller markets like Bellevue, Olympia, and Yakima also have active healthcare employers, though sponsorship frequency is lower.
How to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Washington?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Washington, with listings filtered specifically for roles where employers have a demonstrated history of sponsoring international candidates. Because not all job postings clearly state visa sponsorship availability, using a platform built around sponsorship verification saves significant time. Filter by Washington state and the nursing technician role to see active openings from health systems and hospitals across Seattle, Tacoma, and Spokane.
Are there state-specific considerations for nursing technicians seeking sponsorship in Washington?
Washington requires nursing technicians to work under the supervision of a licensed RN and comply with Washington State Department of Health regulations, including applicable certification or training requirements. The state's strong union presence in large health systems can affect hiring timelines and position classifications. Washington's high cost of living, particularly in the Seattle metro area, means prevailing wage determinations for H-1B petitions tend to be set at higher levels than the national average, which can influence employer sponsorship decisions.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing technician jobs in Washington?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
