Which companies sponsor visas for nursing technicians in New Hampshire?
The largest sponsoring employers for nursing technician roles in New Hampshire tend to be major health systems with dedicated HR and immigration infrastructure. Dartmouth Health (including Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon), Elliot Health System in Manchester, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, and Concord Hospital have all appeared in federal labor condition application filings for clinical support roles. Smaller community hospitals sponsor less frequently and typically on a case-by-case basis.
Which visa types are most common for nursing technician roles in New Hampshire?
Nursing technician roles in New Hampshire most commonly involve the H-1B visa, but only when the position requires at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field, meeting the specialty occupation standard. Many nursing technician roles are structured at the associate degree or certification level, which can complicate H-1B eligibility. The EB-3 immigrant visa pathway is another avenue employers may use for clinical support staff, particularly through PERM labor certification.
Which cities in New Hampshire have the most nursing technician sponsorship jobs?
Manchester is New Hampshire's largest city and its primary healthcare employment hub, anchored by Elliot Health System and Catholic Medical Center. Concord follows, with Concord Hospital serving as a regional center. Lebanon, in the Upper Valley near Vermont, sees consistent demand through Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, which is the state's only academic medical center. Dover and Portsmouth in the Seacoast region also have active hiring pipelines for clinical support staff.
How to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in New Hampshire?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters nursing technician roles in New Hampshire by visa sponsorship status, so you're not sorting through listings that don't apply to your situation. Beyond using Migrate Mate, it helps to target health systems with established immigration programs directly, as New Hampshire's healthcare employers vary significantly in their willingness and capacity to sponsor. Checking employer career pages alongside Migrate Mate gives you the most complete view of active openings.
Are there state-specific considerations for nursing technicians seeking sponsorship in New Hampshire?
New Hampshire does not require a separate state nursing technician license beyond national certification for most roles, but individual employers set their own credential requirements. The state's healthcare workforce is under ongoing pressure due to its aging population and rural geography, which has made some larger health systems more open to sponsoring international candidates than they might otherwise be. Candidates with CNA certification or patient care technician credentials from accredited programs are generally better positioned when approaching New Hampshire employers about sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing technician jobs in New Hampshire?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
