Which companies sponsor visas for nursing technicians in Florida?
Large hospital systems with significant Florida footprints are the most active sponsors for nursing technician roles. HCA Healthcare, AdventHealth, Baptist Health South Florida, Jackson Health System, and BayCare Health System have all filed employment-based visa petitions for clinical support staff. Academic medical centers like UF Health and Tampa General Hospital are also worth targeting, as they tend to have dedicated international hiring infrastructure.
Which visa types are most common for nursing technician roles in Florida?
The H-1B visa applies when the nursing technician role meets the specialty occupation standard, which typically requires a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Some roles qualify under the EB-3 immigrant visa category, which covers skilled workers and professionals. International nurses or technicians with credentials from specific countries may also have pathways through exchange visitor programs. The appropriate visa category depends on the specific role, employer, and your educational background.
Which cities in Florida have the most nursing technician sponsorship jobs?
Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville concentrate the highest volume of nursing technician openings tied to visa sponsorship. Miami benefits from a large hospital network serving one of the most densely populated metro areas in the Southeast. Orlando's rapid population growth has driven major healthcare expansion, particularly through AdventHealth and Orlando Health. Tampa and Jacksonville both host large regional medical centers with consistent clinical staffing needs and international hiring activity.
How to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Florida so you can search without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces roles from hospital systems and healthcare employers across Tampa, Orlando, Miami, and Jacksonville that have active sponsorship histories. Filtering by role and state on Migrate Mate gives you a targeted list rather than a general job search.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for nursing technicians seeking visa sponsorship?
Florida's high proportion of retirement-age residents drives sustained demand for clinical support staff statewide, which generally supports employer willingness to sponsor. The state has no income tax, which affects overall compensation structures. Florida also has a large network of healthcare training programs at institutions like the University of Florida and Florida International University, meaning employers are accustomed to evaluating candidates with varied academic backgrounds, including those trained internationally.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing technician jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
