Which companies sponsor visas for nursing technicians in Massachusetts?
The largest sponsors of clinical support roles in Massachusetts are major health systems, including Mass General Brigham, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, UMass Memorial Health, and Tufts Medical Center. Teaching hospitals and academic medical centers affiliated with Harvard, Tufts, and Boston University tend to have established international hiring infrastructure compared to smaller community hospitals.
Which visa types are most common for nursing technician roles in Massachusetts?
Nursing technician roles most commonly involve H-1B visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical or life sciences field. For internationally trained nurses working in technician-level roles, the EB-3 employment-based green card is another pathway employers pursue. Some positions may qualify under TN visa status for Canadian and Mexican nationals if the role aligns with a listed USMCA occupation category.
Which cities in Massachusetts have the most nursing technician sponsorship jobs?
Boston is the primary hub, given its density of teaching hospitals and research medical centers. Worcester is the second-largest market, anchored by UMass Memorial Medical Center and Saint Vincent Hospital. Springfield, Lowell, and Burlington also have notable hospital employment. Candidates willing to work in suburban or secondary cities sometimes find less competition for open sponsored positions than in downtown Boston.
How to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Massachusetts?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse nursing technician roles in Massachusetts that employers have indicated they will sponsor. You can search by role and state to surface relevant openings at Massachusetts health systems, saving time compared to screening general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there state-specific factors that affect nursing technician sponsorship in Massachusetts?
Massachusetts has a strong union presence in its hospital sector, which can influence how clinical support roles are classified and filled. The state's concentration of academic medical centers also means many nursing technician positions are tied to research and teaching missions, which can support the specialty occupation argument needed for H-1B eligibility. Massachusetts follows federal prevailing wage requirements, so sponsored roles must meet Department of Labor wage determinations for the Boston or Worcester metropolitan areas.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing technician jobs in Massachusetts?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
