Which companies sponsor visas for product engineers in Colorado?
Several large employers in Colorado have consistent records of sponsoring work visas for product engineers, including Google's Boulder office, Palantir Technologies (headquartered in Denver), Arrow Electronics, and Lockheed Martin's Colorado operations. Denver's growing fintech and health-tech sectors also include companies like Ping Identity and Healthgrades that have sponsored product engineering roles. Sponsorship availability varies by role, team, and hiring cycle, so confirming directly with each employer is essential.
Which visa types are most common for product engineer roles in Colorado?
The H-1B visa is the most common visa category for product engineers in Colorado, as product engineering roles typically qualify as specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Some employers also sponsor L-1 visas for internal transfers. Candidates with extraordinary ability may explore the O-1 visa. Australian citizens have access to the E-3 visa, which functions similarly to the H-1B but without the lottery.
How to find product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to find product engineer visa sponsorship jobs in Colorado. The platform filters jobs specifically by sponsorship availability and state, so you're not sorting through listings from employers who don't sponsor. Colorado's market includes Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs postings across industries like aerospace, software, and clean energy. Filtering by role and location on Migrate Mate surfaces the employers actively hiring international product engineers.
Which cities in Colorado have the most product engineer sponsorship jobs?
Denver leads by a significant margin, home to the largest concentration of tech, fintech, and energy companies sponsoring product engineers. Boulder follows closely, driven by its startup ecosystem and proximity to the University of Colorado, which creates a steady pipeline of engineering talent and employer activity. Colorado Springs has a notable presence in aerospace and defense product engineering. Remote-friendly employers headquartered in these cities sometimes extend sponsorship to candidates working across the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for product engineers seeking sponsorship in Colorado?
Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act requires employers to include pay ranges in job postings, which gives international candidates better visibility into whether a role meets H-1B prevailing wage requirements before applying. The state's strong aerospace, clean energy, and software industries create consistent demand for product engineers. The University of Colorado and Colorado State University pipelines also mean employers in the state have established processes for hiring international engineering graduates on OPT before transitioning to H-1B sponsorship.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored product engineer jobs in Colorado?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
