Which investment management companies in Delaware sponsor Green Cards?
Wilmington-based operations of firms like Vanguard, BlackRock, JPMorgan Asset Management, and Fidelity Investments have historically filed Green Card petitions for investment professionals. Delaware's incorporation-friendly environment also attracts boutique asset managers and private equity firms that sponsor foreign nationals, particularly through the EB-2 and EB-3 categories for roles requiring specialized financial expertise.
Which cities in Delaware have the most investment management Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington is by far Delaware's primary hub for investment management employment and Green Card sponsorship, hosting the majority of the state's asset management firms, fund administrators, and financial institutions. Newark sees some activity near the University of Delaware corridor, but Wilmington's Brandywine Valley financial district is where the concentration of institutional employers actively sponsoring international hires is highest.
What types of investment management roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Delaware?
Roles that most commonly support Green Card petitions in Delaware's investment management industry include portfolio managers, quantitative analysts, fixed income researchers, risk management specialists, compliance officers, and fund accountants. These positions typically require a bachelor's or advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field, qualifying them for EB-2 or EB-3 sponsorship based on the specific job requirements and the candidate's qualifications.
How do I find investment management Green Card sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international job seekers and filters investment management positions in Delaware by visa sponsorship type, including Green Card. Rather than sifting through general job boards where sponsorship details are buried or missing, Migrate Mate surfaces roles where employers have demonstrated a willingness to sponsor, helping you focus your search on Delaware asset management firms actively hiring international professionals.
Are there Delaware-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in investment management?
Delaware's status as a corporate and financial hub means many investment funds and holding companies are legally incorporated there, even if operations run elsewhere, so confirm the actual work location before applying. PERM labor certification timelines and prevailing wage requirements still apply regardless of Delaware's business-friendly reputation. For EB-1C petitions involving multinational manager transfers, Delaware-incorporated entities must demonstrate qualifying organizational relationships with foreign affiliates.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card investment management jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
