Which companies sponsor visas for nursing technicians in Delaware?
ChristianaCare, Delaware's largest health system, and Bayhealth Medical Center are the most active employers of nursing technicians in the state and have established records of sponsoring work visas for clinical support staff. Nemours Children's Health and smaller regional hospitals in the Wilmington area also hire nursing technicians, though sponsorship availability varies by role, department, and staffing needs at the time of hiring.
Which visa types are most common for nursing technician roles in Delaware?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for nursing technicians in Delaware, provided the role meets specialty occupation requirements, typically requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant clinical field. TN visas are available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying healthcare occupations. Some employers also support EB-3 green card sponsorship for experienced clinical support staff through the PERM labor certification process.
Which cities in Delaware have the most nursing technician sponsorship jobs?
Wilmington accounts for the largest share of nursing technician openings in Delaware, driven by ChristianaCare's flagship hospital and associated outpatient facilities. Newark, home to the University of Delaware and nearby medical campuses, also generates consistent demand. Dover, as the state capital and home to Bayhealth Kent Campus, is the primary hiring hub in central Delaware for clinical support roles.
How to find nursing technician visa sponsorship jobs in Delaware?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for visa sponsorship eligibility, making it straightforward to search for nursing technician roles in Delaware without manually screening each posting. You can filter by state and role type to surface positions at ChristianaCare, Bayhealth, and other Delaware health systems that have indicated willingness to sponsor. This saves significant time compared to reviewing general job boards where sponsorship status is rarely disclosed upfront.
Are there state-specific considerations for nursing technicians pursuing visa sponsorship in Delaware?
Delaware's small geography means the healthcare job market is concentrated among a handful of major health systems, so sponsorship availability depends heavily on hiring cycles at those specific employers. Nursing technician roles often require state licensure or certification through the Delaware Board of Nursing, which international candidates should obtain or initiate before or alongside the visa process. Delaware's proximity to Pennsylvania and Maryland also means some employers hire across state lines, which can affect where your role is physically based.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored nursing technician jobs in Delaware?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
