Which fintech companies in Florida sponsor Green Cards?
Several large fintech employers in Florida have established Green Card sponsorship programs, including FIS Global and Fiserv, both headquartered in or near Jacksonville, as well as Visa and Mastercard, which have significant operations in Miami. Smaller fintech firms and payment startups in the Miami Tech scene also sponsor, though their capacity and frequency vary considerably by company size and hiring volume.
Which cities in Florida have the most fintech Green Card sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for fintech Green Card sponsorship jobs, driven by its emergence as a Latin American financial hub and a high concentration of payments and blockchain companies. Tampa follows, with a strong presence of financial services technology firms including FIS and Raymond James. Orlando and Jacksonville round out the top markets, particularly for operations, compliance, and engineering roles at established financial technology employers.
What types of fintech roles typically qualify for Green Card sponsorship in Florida?
Roles that most commonly qualify are those requiring a specific bachelor's degree or higher, including software engineers, data scientists, quantitative analysts, cybersecurity specialists, and compliance officers. Product managers and financial engineers with specialized backgrounds also qualify regularly. Positions where a general degree is sufficient, or where the employer cannot demonstrate a business need for a foreign national, are less likely to result in Green Card sponsorship.
How do I find fintech Green Card sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, industry, and state to surface fintech roles in Florida where employers have a verified history of Green Card sponsorship. This saves significant time compared to manually checking company career pages or USCIS PERM disclosure data. Migrate Mate also surfaces relevant roles across Miami, Tampa, Jacksonville, and Orlando in one place.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for Green Card sponsorship in fintech?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how employers structure compensation benchmarks used in Labor Condition Applications and PERM prevailing wage determinations. Miami's fintech employers often operate across Latin American markets, which can create demand for multilingual professionals. Additionally, Florida's fintech sector includes a higher proportion of payments and banking-as-a-service companies, meaning Green Card sponsorship pathways skew toward EB-2 and EB-3 categories rather than the EB-1A or O-1 tracks more common at research-heavy tech firms.
What is the prevailing wage for Green Card fintech jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
