Which companies sponsor visas for logistics managers in Florida?
Florida-based employers with documented H-1B visa sponsorship histories for logistics and supply chain roles include Ryder System, headquartered in Miami, along with World Fuel Services, Chewy, and large third-party logistics providers operating out of Jacksonville and Orlando. Multinational freight and shipping companies with Florida operations, such as DHL and Kuehne+Nagel, also sponsor logistics managers when candidates bring specialized international trade or operations expertise.
Which visa types are most common for logistics manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for logistics managers in Florida, provided the role requires at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering, or a related field. TN visas are available to qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in certain management roles under USMCA. Candidates with extraordinary operational achievements may explore the O-1 visa, though it requires substantial documented recognition.
Which cities in Florida have the most logistics manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads the state, driven by PortMiami's status as one of the busiest cargo ports in the U.S. and the city's concentration of international trade companies. Jacksonville follows, with its naval logistics infrastructure and large distribution centers supporting consistent demand. Orlando has grown significantly as e-commerce fulfillment investment has expanded inland, and Tampa's port activity also generates steady logistics management hiring.
How to find logistics manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability, saving you from sorting through postings that won't lead anywhere for international candidates. For logistics manager roles in Florida, you can search by state and job category on Migrate Mate to surface openings at freight, distribution, and supply chain companies actively hiring sponsored workers. Focusing on employers near Miami, Jacksonville, and Orlando tends to return the most relevant results.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for logistics manager visa sponsorship?
Florida's heavy dependence on international trade means many logistics manager roles require familiarity with customs compliance, import/export regulations, or freight forwarding, which can strengthen a sponsorship case by demonstrating specialized knowledge. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determination for logistics managers varies by metropolitan area within Florida, so candidates should note that Miami-Dade County wages are typically assessed differently than inland markets like Orlando or Gainesville.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
