Which companies sponsor visas for logistics managers in South Carolina?
Several large employers in South Carolina have a documented history of sponsoring work visas for logistics and supply chain roles. BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg, Michelin North America, Volvo Cars, and Amazon fulfillment centers across the state have filed H-1B Labor Condition Applications for logistics-related positions. Port-adjacent firms near Charleston, including freight forwarders and third-party logistics providers, also sponsor international candidates with specialized supply chain credentials.
Which visa types are most common for logistics manager roles in South Carolina?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for logistics managers in South Carolina, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, or a closely related field. Candidates with multinational employer backgrounds may also qualify for the L-1A intracompany transferee visa. TN status is available to Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying management roles under USMCA.
Which cities in South Carolina have the most logistics manager sponsorship jobs?
Spartanburg and Greenville lead the state for logistics manager hiring, anchored by BMW, Michelin, and a dense network of automotive suppliers in the Upstate region. Charleston is a strong second, given its role as one of the busiest container ports on the East Coast. Columbia, as the state capital and a distribution corridor hub, also sees consistent demand for logistics management professionals with international backgrounds.
How to find logistics manager visa sponsorship jobs in South Carolina?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates searching for visa-sponsored roles, including logistics manager positions in South Carolina. You can filter jobs by state and role to see which employers are actively hiring and have a history of sponsoring work visas. Rather than sorting through general job boards where sponsorship status is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces opportunities where visa sponsorship is explicitly part of the hiring process.
Are there any state-specific considerations for logistics managers seeking sponsorship in South Carolina?
South Carolina's logistics sector is heavily tied to automotive manufacturing and port operations, so candidates with experience in those industries are better positioned for sponsorship. Clemson University's supply chain and engineering programs create a regional talent pipeline, meaning employers are familiar with sponsoring graduates from international backgrounds. The state has no additional licensing requirements specific to logistics managers beyond federal H-1B prevailing wage obligations, which employers must meet through the Labor Condition Application process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics manager jobs in South Carolina?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
