Which companies sponsor visas for logistics managers in New Jersey?
Large multinational employers with established New Jersey operations are the most consistent sponsors for logistics manager roles. Companies such as Amazon, Maersk, Kuehne+Nagel, Ryder, and pharmaceutical distributors like Johnson & Johnson and Becton Dickinson have filed H-1B visa Labor Condition Applications for supply chain and logistics positions in the state. Employers tied to Port Newark-Elizabeth and major distribution corridors tend to have more experience navigating the sponsorship process.
Which visa types are most common for logistics manager roles in New Jersey?
The H-1B is the most common visa category for logistics manager roles in New Jersey, provided the position qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field such as supply chain management, industrial engineering, or business logistics. Some candidates already holding TN visa status (Canadian or Mexican nationals) or L-1 visas through intracompany transfers also fill logistics manager positions with established multinationals operating in the state.
Which cities in New Jersey have the most logistics manager sponsorship jobs?
Newark and its surrounding area generate significant demand given its proximity to Port Newark-Elizabeth, one of the largest container ports on the East Coast. Edison and Parsippany are active hiring centers for pharmaceutical and consumer goods supply chains. Secaucus and Woodbridge attract retail and e-commerce distribution employers. Employers in these cities are more likely to have immigration infrastructure in place to support sponsorship compared to smaller markets within the state.
How to find logistics manager visa sponsorship jobs in New Jersey?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for roles open to visa sponsorship, so you can browse logistics manager positions in New Jersey without sorting through employers unlikely to sponsor. The platform surfaces openings from companies that have a documented history of filing for work visas, which is particularly useful in a state where sponsorship willingness varies significantly by employer size and industry sector.
What should international logistics managers know before applying to New Jersey employers?
New Jersey's logistics market is heavily shaped by port operations, pharmaceutical supply chains, and major e-commerce fulfillment networks, so relevant experience in those sectors strengthens an application considerably. Employers sponsoring H-1B petitions must meet Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements for the specific job location and level, which are determined by the Standard Occupational Classification for the role. Positions at smaller third-party logistics firms may be less likely to have prior sponsorship experience, making due diligence on employer history worthwhile.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics manager jobs in New Jersey?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
