Which companies in Kentucky sponsor visas for logistics managers?
UPS is the most prominent Kentucky-based employer sponsoring logistics manager roles, given its global Worldport hub in Louisville. Amazon's extensive fulfillment and distribution network in the state also generates sponsorship activity. Toyota's manufacturing and supply chain operations in Georgetown and other Kentucky sites have historically filed H-1B visa petitions for supply chain and logistics management positions as well.
Which visa types are most common for logistics manager roles in Kentucky?
The H-1B is the most common visa for logistics managers, provided the role requires a specialized bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. Multinational companies with Kentucky operations, such as UPS or Toyota, may also use the L-1A for managers transferring from international offices. The TN visa is an option for Canadian and Mexican nationals whose roles meet NAFTA/USMCA classification criteria.
Which cities in Kentucky have the most logistics manager sponsorship jobs?
Louisville is by far the leading city, driven by UPS Worldport, Amazon, and a dense cluster of third-party logistics providers concentrated around the airport corridor. Lexington sees activity from Toyota's supplier network and regional distribution companies. Northern Kentucky, bordering Cincinnati, also attracts logistics employers who operate across the Ohio River metro and occasionally sponsor for management-level roles.
How to find logistics manager visa sponsorship jobs in Kentucky?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it practical to search logistics manager openings in Kentucky without sorting through roles that won't support work authorization. The platform surfaces positions from employers who have a track record of sponsoring, so you can focus your applications on companies operating in Louisville's air cargo corridor, Lexington, and Northern Kentucky's cross-border distribution hubs.
Are there any Kentucky-specific considerations for logistics manager visa sponsorship?
Because Kentucky logistics is heavily tied to air cargo and automotive manufacturing, employers typically require operations experience aligned with those industries, which strengthens the specialty occupation argument for H-1B purposes. The Department of Labor's prevailing wage determination applies to any sponsored role, so employers must confirm the offered compensation meets the wage level for logistics managers in the specific Kentucky metropolitan area where the job is located.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored logistics manager jobs in Kentucky?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
