Which companies sponsor visas for manufacturing associates in Florida?
Florida's largest visa-sponsoring manufacturers include Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman in Brevard County, Jabil Circuit in the Tampa Bay area, and medical device manufacturers like Stryker and Boston Scientific along the I-4 corridor. Food and beverage producers in central Florida also sponsor manufacturing associates. Sponsorship frequency and eligibility vary by role, facility, and the candidate's specific visa situation.
Which visa types are most common for manufacturing associate roles in Florida?
H-1B visa is the most commonly filed work visa for manufacturing associates whose roles require a relevant bachelor's degree, such as process engineering or quality assurance. EB-3 immigrant visas are used for skilled production roles that meet DOL requirements. Some facilities also hire through TN visas for qualified Canadian and Mexican nationals in eligible occupational categories. The appropriate visa category depends on the specific role and employer.
How to find manufacturing associate visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically to manufacturing associate roles in Florida where employers have indicated visa sponsorship availability. This saves significant time compared to manually screening general job postings. On Migrate Mate, you can browse open positions across Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Brevard County, filtering by sponsorship type. Create a profile so employers seeking manufacturing associates in Florida can find your credentials directly.
Which cities in Florida have the most manufacturing associate sponsorship jobs?
The Space Coast (Brevard County) leads in aerospace and defense manufacturing, with significant sponsorship activity from contractors near Kennedy Space Center. The Tampa Bay area is a hub for electronics and contract manufacturing, particularly around Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. The Orlando metro hosts medical device and technology manufacturing along the I-4 corridor. Jacksonville supports industrial and logistics-adjacent manufacturing roles in the northeast of the state.
Are there state-specific considerations for manufacturing associate roles in Florida?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects how prevailing wage calculations compare to other manufacturing states. Aerospace and defense manufacturing roles may require security clearance eligibility, which can complicate sponsorship for some international candidates. Florida's large medical device and food processing sectors tend to have more straightforward H-1B sponsorship pathways for associates with relevant engineering or science degrees than general production roles.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored manufacturing associate jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
