Which companies sponsor visas for project development managers in Florida?
Florida-based employers with documented H-1B sponsorship histories for project development and management roles include Lockheed Martin and Boeing in the aerospace corridor, AdventHealth and HCA Healthcare in the health sector, Skanska and AECOM in infrastructure, and technology firms concentrated around Miami's growing tech hub. Large defense contractors along the Space Coast in Brevard County have been consistent sponsors for engineering-adjacent project management positions.
Which visa types are most common for project development manager roles in Florida?
The H-1B is the most common visa for project development managers in Florida, provided the role qualifies as a specialty occupation requiring a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as engineering, construction management, or business administration. Candidates from Australia may qualify for the E-3, while Canadian and Mexican nationals can explore the TN visa under the management consultant or engineer categories depending on the role's responsibilities.
Which cities in Florida have the most project development manager sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads for project development manager roles, driven by real estate development, infrastructure investment, and a growing technology sector. Orlando is active in healthcare systems, hospitality infrastructure, and theme park expansion projects. Tampa has a strong presence in financial services and construction project management. The Space Coast cities of Melbourne and Titusville concentrate aerospace and defense project development roles tied to NASA and its contractor network.
How to find project development manager visa sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa sponsorship availability, making it straightforward to browse project development manager roles in Florida without sifting through positions that don't offer sponsorship. You can narrow results by city, industry, and visa type to focus on employers actively hiring international candidates. Migrate Mate also surfaces employer sponsorship histories, which helps you prioritize companies with a track record of filing for project development manager roles in Florida.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for project development manager visa sponsorship?
Florida's construction and infrastructure boom, fueled by population growth and hurricane recovery investment, has increased demand for project development managers, which generally supports sponsorship willingness among large contractors and developers. Florida also has no state income tax, a detail some international candidates factor into total compensation evaluation. The University of Florida, University of Miami, and Florida International University supply a local talent pipeline, so international candidates typically strengthen applications by highlighting specialized industry experience those programs don't replicate.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored project development manager jobs in Florida?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
