Which technology companies in Florida sponsor TN visas?
Florida-based technology employers with a history of TN visa sponsorship include Citrix Systems in Fort Lauderdale, Chewy's tech division in Dania Beach, Tech Data in Clearwater, and Lockheed Martin's simulation and defense operations in Orlando. Healthcare IT companies concentrated around Tampa, such as Cielo Health and WellCare, also regularly hire Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying TN occupations.
Which cities in Florida have the most technology TN sponsorship jobs?
Miami leads Florida for technology hiring, particularly in fintech, cybersecurity, and software development. Tampa follows closely, driven by a large healthcare IT and financial services presence. Orlando has a concentration of defense technology, simulation, and engineering firms. Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville round out the market, with established enterprise software and IT services employers actively hiring in TN-eligible roles.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Florida?
TN-eligible technology roles in Florida commonly include computer systems analysts, software engineers, database administrators, and network engineers. These positions must meet the specific TN occupation definitions and require at least a bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Roles that involve general IT support or do not require a specialized degree in a specific discipline may not qualify under TN requirements.
How do I find technology TN sponsorship jobs in Florida?
Migrate Mate is a job board built specifically for candidates who need visa sponsorship, including TN visa holders. You can filter directly for technology roles in Florida where employers are open to TN sponsorship, which removes the guesswork of screening generic job listings. This is particularly useful in Florida's fragmented tech market, where sponsorship-friendly employers are spread across Miami, Tampa, and Orlando rather than concentrated in one hub.
Are there any Florida-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in technology?
Florida has no state income tax, which affects total compensation comparisons but does not change TN visa requirements. Because Florida's technology industry is diverse rather than concentrated in a single hub like Silicon Valley, TN candidates should be prepared to demonstrate that their specific role meets the TN specialty occupation definition, as job titles in the region can vary widely and not every technology role qualifies.
