Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
- Support laboring patients and assist with delivery and newborn assessments.
- Monitor maternal and newborn conditions and respond to changing clinical needs.
- Educate patients and families on recovery, newborn care, and transitions home.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Float to other departments when needed, with appropriate orientation and training.
Requirements
- Current, active New Mexico RN license or multistate eNLC license.
- Experience working in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum is required.
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications.
- ADN required; BSN preferred.
- OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
