Search Technology Jobs in CaliforniaTechnology TN Sponsorship Jobs in California: Frequently Asked Questions
Which technology companies sponsor TN visas in California?
Large technology employers with established TN visa sponsorship programs in California include Apple, Google, Meta, Salesforce, Cisco, Intel, Adobe, and Oracle. Beyond the well-known names, mid-size SaaS companies and enterprise software firms across the Bay Area and Los Angeles also regularly sponsor TN petitions for Canadian and Mexican nationals in qualifying specialty occupations.
Which cities in California have the most technology TN sponsorship jobs?
The San Francisco Bay Area, including San Jose, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, and San Francisco itself, concentrates the highest volume of technology TN roles in California. Los Angeles has a growing tech sector anchored by media technology, fintech, and e-commerce companies. San Diego contributes opportunities in biotech software, cybersecurity, and defense technology, particularly around the Sorrento Valley corridor.
What types of technology roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN-qualifying technology roles in California most commonly include software engineer, systems analyst, computer systems analyst, database administrator, and industrial engineer. The role must fall within a USMCA-listed occupation category, and the applicant must hold a qualifying degree in a directly related field. Roles like product manager or UX designer may face closer scrutiny depending on how the position is defined.
How do I find technology TN sponsorship jobs in California?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically by visa type, so you can search for TN-sponsoring technology employers in California without sorting through positions that don't support your status. The platform surfaces roles from companies that have a documented history of TN sponsorship, which is particularly useful in California where some tech employers sponsor selectively by team or role type rather than company-wide.
Are there any California-specific considerations for technology TN sponsorship?
California's strong employee protections and competitive hiring environment mean that many technology employers here work with immigration counsel on TN filings, which tends to produce well-documented petitions. However, California's high cost of living affects prevailing wage benchmarks, and some smaller startups may lack the HR infrastructure to process TN sponsorship efficiently. Verifying an employer's sponsorship capacity before accepting an offer is worth the effort.
