Primoris Distribution Services (PDS) is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our Gas Operations team in the Tampa, Florida area. This position is responsible for performing high-quality welding on natural gas pipeline systems while following company procedures, project specifications, and applicable safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding on natural gas pipelines and related components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and welding procedures.
- Prepare, fit, align, and weld pipe according to project requirements.
- Inspect welds and completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools safely.
- Follow all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Work closely with foremen, operators, and other crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous pipe welding experience required.
- Experience with natural gas distribution/pipeline work preferred.
- Ability to pass required weld testing/qualification.
- Knowledge of proper welding techniques and safety procedures.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding work.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Must be able to pass applicable pre-employment requirements.
