Which insurance companies in Georgia sponsor H-1B1 Singapore visas?
Georgia-based and regional insurance employers with a documented history of sponsoring specialty occupation workers include Aflac (headquartered in Columbus), State Farm's Southeast regional offices, Assurant, and various Lloyd's market managing general agents operating out of Atlanta. Larger national carriers with Georgia operations, including MetLife and Prudential, have also filed Labor Condition Applications for insurance professionals. Sponsorship activity varies by role and filing year, so reviewing DOL LCA disclosure data gives the most accurate picture.
Which cities in Georgia have the most insurance H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta concentrates the largest share of insurance sponsorship activity in Georgia, particularly in the Buckhead and Midtown corridors where regional headquarters and specialty lines firms cluster. Columbus stands out as the home of Aflac's corporate campus, making it a consistent source of actuarial and analytics roles. Savannah and Augusta have smaller but active insurance markets, with opportunities typically tied to regional brokerage and risk management firms rather than large carriers.
What types of insurance roles typically qualify for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship applies to specialty occupations requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. In insurance, qualifying roles most commonly include actuary, underwriter, risk analyst, data scientist, quantitative analyst, and compliance officer positions. General claims adjuster or customer-facing sales roles typically do not meet the specialty occupation standard. Employers confirm qualification through the Labor Condition Application, which certifies that the position meets DOL prevailing wage and degree-requirement criteria.
How do I find insurance H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate filters job listings specifically for H-1B1 visa Singapore visa sponsorship, letting you search insurance roles in Georgia without sorting through employers who don't sponsor. The platform surfaces companies with verified LCA filing history in the insurance sector, so you can focus on actuarial, underwriting, and risk management openings at carriers and brokers that have actively sponsored Singaporean professionals in Georgia.
Are there any Georgia-specific or insurance-specific considerations for H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship?
Georgia does not impose additional state-level requirements on top of federal H-1B1 Singapore sponsorship obligations, but insurance roles may carry professional licensing requirements independent of visa status. Actuaries and licensed adjusters, for example, must meet Georgia Department of Insurance credentialing standards regardless of nationality. Employers in the state's surplus lines and reinsurance market, concentrated in Atlanta, tend to have more experience navigating specialty occupation LCA filings than smaller regional carriers.
What is the prevailing wage for H-1B1 Singapore insurance jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
