Which companies sponsor visas for tax managers in Georgia?
Atlanta-based employers with active tax departments are the most consistent sponsors. These include multinational corporations like Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, UPS, and Home Depot, along with the Big Four accounting firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) and regional firms like Aprio and Bennett Thrasher. Financial services and healthcare companies headquartered in metro Atlanta also appear regularly in DOL Labor Condition Application filings for tax manager roles.
Which visa types are most common for tax manager roles in Georgia?
The H-1B is the most common visa for tax managers in Georgia, as the role typically requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, qualifying it as a specialty occupation. Candidates with a master's degree may benefit from the advanced degree exemption during the H-1B lottery. Some senior tax professionals with exceptional credentials pursue the O-1A, while international transfers within multinational firms may use the L-1A or L-1B.
Which cities in Georgia have the most tax manager sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta accounts for the overwhelming majority of tax manager sponsorship opportunities in Georgia. The metro area, including Buckhead, Midtown, and suburbs like Alpharetta and Sandy Springs, is home to most corporate headquarters and accounting firm offices that actively hire internationally. Outside Atlanta, Savannah has a smaller but growing finance and logistics sector, though sponsorship opportunities there are considerably less frequent for this role.
How to find tax manager visa sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for international candidates and filters job listings to show only roles with visa sponsorship, including tax manager positions in Georgia. You can search by role and state to surface employers actively hiring and willing to sponsor. Pairing Migrate Mate with DOL OFLC disclosure data, which shows actual LCA filings by Georgia employers, helps you identify which companies have recently sponsored tax professionals.
Are there state-specific factors that affect tax manager sponsorship in Georgia?
Georgia has no state-level visa or immigration requirements beyond federal rules, but a few local factors matter. The DOL prevailing wage for tax managers in Atlanta is benchmarked against a competitive market, so sponsoring employers must meet wage levels set for the Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Roswell metropolitan area. Georgia's large university system, including Georgia Tech and Emory, produces accounting and finance graduates who sometimes transition from OPT to H-1B sponsorship, making some Atlanta employers familiar with the process.
What is the prevailing wage for sponsored tax manager jobs in Georgia?
U.S. employers sponsoring a visa must pay at least the prevailing wage, which is what workers in the same role, area, and experience level typically earn. The Department of Labor sets this rate to make sure companies aren't hiring foreign workers simply because they'd accept lower pay than a U.S. worker. It varies by job title, location, and experience. You can look up current prevailing wage rates for any occupation and location using the OFLC Wage Search page.
