About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Pediatric Surgery Operating Room contract opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves delivering safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care across multiple pediatric surgical specialties while collaborating with surgeons and the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for pediatric surgical patients throughout the surgical process.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and surgical instruments while maintaining sterile technique.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR and follow established perioperative protocols.
- Float as needed to support departmental operations and maintain continuity of patient care.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required (office surgery experience not accepted).
- Prior travel nursing and charge nurse experience required.
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required.
- Experience with Epic EMR; Neuro, Orthopedic, ENT, General Surgery, and Ophthalmology experience required. Pediatric OR experience preferred, and scrub experience is preferred.
