Which transportation companies sponsor TN visas in Georgia?
Georgia is home to several large transportation and logistics employers with established visa sponsorship programs. UPS is headquartered in Atlanta and regularly hires for engineering and operations roles. Delta Air Lines, also based in Atlanta, sponsors TN visas for qualifying technical and management positions. Norfolk Southern and CSX have significant rail operations in the state, and third-party logistics firms concentrated around the Port of Savannah also hire TN-eligible professionals.
Which cities in Georgia have the most transportation TN sponsorship jobs?
Atlanta is the primary hub, driven by major airline and freight headquarters, logistics companies, and the presence of Hartsfield-Jackson, the busiest cargo airport in the Southeast. Savannah is a strong secondary market due to the Port of Savannah, one of the fastest-growing container ports in the U.S., which supports demand for supply chain and operations professionals. Gainesville and Columbus also have logistics and distribution activity worth monitoring.
What types of transportation roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship?
TN visa eligibility in transportation requires the role to fall within a USMCA-listed occupation and be a specialty occupation requiring at least a bachelor's degree in a specific field. Roles that commonly qualify include industrial engineers, systems analysts working in logistics technology, management analysts in supply chain operations, and civil engineers in transportation infrastructure. General driving, dispatch, and warehouse operations roles do not qualify, as they do not meet the degree requirement.
How do I find transportation TN sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is designed specifically for this search. You can filter by visa type, including TN, and by industry to surface transportation and logistics roles with employers in Georgia who have a history of sponsoring work visas. This is more targeted than general job searches, which rarely surface visa sponsorship status clearly. Migrate Mate also provides guidance on TN-eligible occupations to help you assess whether a specific role and your credentials align.
Are there state-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Georgia's transportation industry?
Georgia does not impose state-level visa or work authorization requirements beyond federal rules, so TN eligibility is governed entirely by USMCA criteria. One practical consideration is that many Georgia transportation employers, particularly in rail and air freight, operate under federal contractor or safety compliance frameworks that may require background checks and security clearances, which can affect hiring timelines. For port-related roles in Savannah, a TWIC card may also be required, which TN holders can apply for once they have valid U.S. work authorization.
