Which aerospace and defense companies sponsor TN visas in Georgia?
Georgia's aerospace and defense sector includes several employers with established TN sponsorship patterns. Lockheed Martin operates a major facility in Marietta focused on C-130 and F-22 programs. Gulfstream Aerospace, headquartered in Savannah, regularly hires engineers across its design and manufacturing divisions. L3Harris, Boeing, and a range of Tier 1 and Tier 2 defense contractors supporting Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins also appear in TN sponsorship filings.
Which cities in Georgia have the most aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs?
Marietta and the greater Atlanta metro area concentrate the largest share of aerospace and defense TN roles, driven by Lockheed Martin's Marietta complex and a dense cluster of defense subcontractors. Savannah is the second major hub, led by Gulfstream's headquarters and manufacturing campus. Warner Robins, home to Robins Air Force Base and the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, generates consistent demand for engineering and technical roles as well.
What types of aerospace and defense roles typically qualify for TN sponsorship in Georgia?
TN sponsorship in aerospace and defense applies to roles that fall under qualifying USMCA occupational categories. In practice, this most commonly covers aerospace engineers, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, industrial engineers, computer engineers, and scientific roles such as materials scientists or physicists. These positions require at least a bachelor's degree in a directly related field. Roles that are primarily managerial or do not require a specific technical degree are generally less likely to qualify under TN criteria.
How do I find aerospace and defense TN sponsorship jobs in Georgia?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for TN visa holders and lists aerospace and defense roles in Georgia from employers with verified sponsorship activity. Rather than filtering through general job postings where TN eligibility is unclear, Migrate Mate surfaces positions matched to your visa category. Searching by state and industry on Migrate Mate lets you focus on Georgia-based aerospace and defense openings without having to manually vet each employer for TN sponsorship history.
Are there any state-specific or industry-specific considerations for TN sponsorship in Georgia's aerospace and defense sector?
Many aerospace and defense positions in Georgia involve work on U.S. government contracts, which can introduce security clearance requirements. TN visa holders are generally not eligible for U.S. security clearances, which means certain roles at facilities like Robins Air Force Base or on classified Lockheed Martin programs may be restricted to U.S. persons. Confirming clearance requirements before applying is important, as this is an industry-specific factor that affects TN eligibility for a meaningful share of Georgia defense roles.
